Holograms & Virtual
In-person, virtual and hybrid events have become a big topic in recent years and will continue to gain in importance in the future. Likewise, holograms - from small eye-catchers at trade fair stands to special effects that fill the stage - still lose none of their impressive effect and are simply part of many trend-setting events. We at rent4event were involved in all of this from the beginning.
Holograms for trade fairs, POI & Co.
By using a Dreamoc you are sure to attract attention to your product. The attractively designed holodisplay is suitable for trade fair stands, reception and lobby rooms, as well as other POIs. Present products that are within reach, even though they may not actually exist yet.
Purely virtual or – as in the example image – as a combination: A real cell phone is placed in the Dreamoc and surrounded by holographic app icons. Of course, we are also happy to take on the content production of the holographic film and work with you to develop ideas for optimal product staging.

You can get a small impression of the Dreamoc in our YouTube channel. If the object to be displayed as a hologram already exists, we can read it using a 3D scan for further digital processing. Or you can give us your CAD data. With a little practice it is also possible for you to create the film yourself, but since a Dreamoc is strongly recommended for testing purposes, we don't necessarily recommend this. However, we would be happy to explain to you what needs to be taken into account. And see this PDF.
Feel free to take a look at the effect of the Dreamoc on site. Make an appointment now.
Can it be a little bigger? – Stage-size holograms
The whole thing is also possible a few sizes larger. The technical principle behind it is over 100 years old. “Pepper’s Ghost” was what they called it at the theater back then. The effect can now also be found in a technically modified form in amusement parks, in primetime TV shows and also in product presentations on large stages.
It has an impressive effect when a real person presents the next generation cell phone floating next to them as a holographic effect. Deutsche Telekom and the singer Mariah Carey could literally "sing a song about it" and the rapper Tupac was brought back to life by MTV (see YouTube)
The setup for a stage-sized holographic projection goes like this: An "invisible", transparent film is stretched in front of the stage at a 45° angle. On the floor - outside the audience's field of vision - the object is displayed using LED modules so that it is reflected by the film. Since our brain is not aware of the "kink in the optics," to the human eye it appears as if the projection is floating in the air. You know this effect from your car when an object on the dashboard is unwantedly reflected in the windshield. See also: Süddeutsche Zeitung article PDF.
vStage – The virtual stage
What was suddenly in high demand in 2020/21 due to the Corona pandemic still often represents modern added value for many types of events, even after the urgent need for purely virtual events.
If you combine some of our long-standing core competencies - live streaming, 3D content production as well as camera and directing technology - this results in the often comparatively cost-effective possibility of creating any virtual stage you want. In the computer-generated environment, real people can interact just as freely as one would expect from conventional face-to-face performances.
There are hardly any limits to your ideas, and what cannot be produced in reality or can only be produced with great effort may be easily possible in a virtually created environment.
